After 100 years with a city manager/council form of government, in 2021, we will transition to the more traditional governance model of having a separately elected mayor and council, giving the residents of Cleveland Heights the opportunity to vote directly for mayor.
The first term of this new mayor will be critically important to make an efficient transition. Broad and deep executive leadership experience will be needed for this change. Over the past 30 years, I transformed a small, fragile non-profit, the YWCA of Cleveland, into a nationally recognized association. I led a school system serving children with moderate learning challenges with a staff of 1,000, a budget of $62 million and 24 school buildings. And I served my community as a volunteer. click here for Who I Am
